cannot select date to keep old number

just activated my eSIM on my iPhone with ID mobile and want to keep my old number from Vodafone. When I put in the number i want to keep along with my PAC i cannot select a date as the calendar is greyed out. can anyone help please? I’ve tried desk top rather than app, incognito mode, turned my phone off and on again- going round in circles…TIA
