This is a 9-digit number that can be found on the top right corner of your digital invoice, or on your 'Welcome To iD' email.

I don’t have that email. I have a dashboard where I can see my contact etc but did not receive a welcome email. It came through mobiles.co.uk so u only have an order number from them

Have you checked your junk/spam folders?

Definitely no welcome email! DD set up, other helpful emails but not that essential one

The email you need is titled “Welcome to iD. Let's get started” and comes from iD mobile, not mobiles.co.uk

It states your contract details (including phone number) and the transaction number is at the bottom, where it says “Want to keep your old number?”

It could be in your spam folder … however, I’ve found somewhere else it’s listed … open the iD mobile app on your phone (install and log in if needed), then click on “plan” at the bottom. Expand “contract details” and the transaction number is listed there.

Looks like you can also get to it through the iD mobile website, same place - which is possible the better way to look it up as you can do that on a PC/laptop and then type it into the app.
