facetime/iMessage fix?

I’ve tried all the guidance to get iMessage & Facetime working since switching to ID & porting my old number but nothing works. iPhone 12. Getting fed up of having to keep resetting phone & re-inputting info. Any ideas and advice greatly appreciated

Solved at last. Tbf I misunderstood where to sign out so fully signed out of phone which was a pain. I signed out of iMessage & FaceTime then removed the sim for a while. Restarted phone with sim in. Signed back in then selected tel number as contact. It did take a few hours to update but seems ok now
