Hi @asupaj29,
Thank you for getting in touch! We’re delighted to hear that you’re interested in joining iD Mobile, and we’re happy to explain how the referral and trade-in processes work.
We’d recommend following these steps to make sure everything is set up correctly.
1. Use your partner’s referral link first
Ask your partner to generate and share their unique Refer a Friend link with you. Before placing your order, make sure you register for the referral scheme through the link and follow the instructions provided.
You can find more information about the scheme here: iD Mobile Refer a Friend.
https://idmobile.aklamio.com/
Please make sure you use your partner’s referral link when placing your order, as the referral generally cannot be added retrospectively once the purchase has been completed.
2. Order your new phone and plan
Once you’ve registered through the referral link, choose your preferred handset and Pay Monthly plan and complete your purchase.
3. Set up your new phone
Once your new handset arrives, we recommend transferring your contacts, photos, apps and other important information from your existing phone before sending it away for trade-in.
4. Complete the trade-in process
Visit our Trade-In page, where you can check your current phone’s estimated value and complete the relevant form.
https://www.idmobile.co.uk/trade-in
If you’re taking advantage of an enhanced trade-in promotion, make sure you complete the promotional claim form using your purchase details before sending your old handset. You’ll then receive a prepaid postage bag from Currys to return your device. Once the handset has been assessed, your trade-in payment will be processed according to the applicable terms.
Will you need a spare phone?
You shouldn’t need a separate spare phone if your new handset has arrived and you’ve successfully transferred your information before sending your old phone away. We recommend keeping your current handset until your new phone is delivered, set up and working properly, so you’re not left without a phone during the transition.
We hope this helps make the process straightforward, and we look forward to welcoming you to iD Mobile!
