Hi

I used to have a lebara sim. Then I purchased a plan with ID eSIM. At the time, it said I could keep my old number, so I thought this would be the lebara one. But now I have a different number with ID. How can I use the ID sim but with my old number from lebara? Pls advice.

I have recently switched from one ID mobile deal to another after my contract ended. I need to know how to keep my original number as until this is done I am paying for 2 contracts!

Hi there @Millyrose1, unfortunately, you cannot transfer your number between contracts on the same network. To keep your number, you’d need to perform an upgrade, or complete a triangle port.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi @Snowymg1,

I've just sent you a private message to help get this sorted.

To find it, click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select ‘Private Messages’.

You can also use this direct link to your inbox: https://community.idmobile.co.uk/inbox/overview

I'll speak to you there.

Thanks,

I have already had this conversation. I wanted to keep my old number and I messaged you guys around a month ago and it was sorted. However today I have got a message saying that my old number will now be terminated even though if I was supposed to keep the number I was wondering if you guys could help me so that I could keep my old number as I’ve already had this problem before.
This is the screenshot that I received and please help me thank you.

Hi @Mannie123,

For your security, we'd recommend never sharing personal account information on a public forum, such as PAC codes, account numbers or other account-specific details.

From the screenshot, this appears to be an Apple iMessage/FaceTime issue rather than something on the iD Mobile network.

We'd recommend trying the following:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > iMessage and turn iMessage off, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on.
  • Do the same for Settings > Apps > FaceTime.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Ensure your phone is running the latest version of iOS.

If the number is still showing as registered after trying the above, we'd recommend contacting Apple Support, as iD Mobile can't remove or manage numbers registered with iMessage or FaceTime.

Regards,

Gemma M
