Logging into app. Wait until number ports over?

Hi,
I have just moved my families 3 sim only contracts across from EE and the switch date is Tuesday 17th.
When you go to log into the ID Mobile App you need to enter your mobile number. It doesn't accept the number I am porting across from EE.

I assume this is because the number hasn't ported across yet, so my question is this. Should I wait until my number(s) have ported across and I am actually using the new ID Mobile eSIM? 

I do have an email that tells me the temporary number assigned to my eSIM but I wasn't sure whether using that would potentially cause me any headaches 🤣
Happy to wait a few days if it will be smoother and have looked for any info on this topic in the community but couldnt find anything..

You can register your phone number before or after the port. If you register before the port, use the temporary number. It will automatically change to the number you’ve ported over once the port is complete.

Just in case anyone comes across this topic and wonders 😂

I waited until the numbers had all ported across and then added them to the ID Mobile app without any issues. 😁

the problem I had when trying that was it sends a code to the temporary number, which wasn't active in a phone so I couldn't get it and finish the registration. Forgot to mention that in my last reply..
