Logging into app. Wait until number ports over?

Hi,
I have just moved my families 3 sim only contracts across from EE and the switch date is Tuesday 17th.
When you go to log into the ID Mobile App you need to enter your mobile number. It doesn't accept the number I am porting across from EE.

I assume this is because the number hasn't ported across yet, so my question is this. Should I wait until my number(s) have ported across and I am actually using the new ID Mobile eSIM? 

I do have an email that tells me the temporary number assigned to my eSIM but I wasn't sure whether using that would potentially cause me any headaches 🤣
Happy to wait a few days if it will be smoother and have looked for any info on this topic in the community but couldnt find anything..
