Hi im trying to get new contact for my girlfriend

went into carphone wearhouse and was declined

want to know why this is when ive been with you nearly 2 years tried online the other day and got declined?

Credit decisions (whether online or in-store) are carried out by an automated credit assessment system, and we’re not able to see the exact reason why an application is declined. This can happen due to a range of factors, such as:

Credit score and credit history
Existing financial commitments
Information not matching credit reference records

 

Even existing customers still need to pass a new credit check for additional contracts.

 

What you can do:
You can try again later, as credit decisions can change over time
Make sure all personal details entered match your credit file exactly
You can also check your credit report with agencies like Experian, Equifax or TransUnion
