Porting To iD with Delayed Order

Hi folks,

 

I placed an order with iD but received an email to say that my phone will not be delivered until around mid-December.

I was trying to find out if it is possible to port over sooner than this by getting my SIM in advance? This is to avoid the PAC code expiring from O2

Thank you for reaching out and explaining the situation. Yes, it’s possible to request your SIM in advance so you can port your number sooner and avoid your PAC code expiring.
Please send us a private message via Facebook or Instagram, or contact us through Live Chat, so we can securely access your account and arrange for the SIM to be dispatched. Once you have the SIM, we can help you complete the port before your handset arrives.

So I have contacted Live Chat and I have been told there that I cannot get a SIM sent until the phone is in stock and therefore unable to get my number ported over until then.

That’s correct. I have no idea why ​@Lamiya C told you that was possible.
