SIM only deal - switch date question

Hi, I am switching from my current sim only deal with a different network over to ID Mobile sim only deal. I’ll be using an e-sim. I have received the email to download the e-sim however my switch date isn’t until 03/11. When should I download the e-sim? Do I wait until the 3rd?

Hi @SeanG1996,

You can download and install the eSIM now, there's no need to wait until 03/11.

Your eSIM can be set up on the device in advance, and when your number transfer takes place on 03/11, your existing number will move across to the iD Mobile eSIM. Having the eSIM already installed can make the switchover process smoother on the day.

If the transfer hasn't completed by the end of the transfer date, try restarting your phone.
