Hi how long does it take for my old number to switch over I got the phone a week ago and on the id app it says it’s still transferring and I did the pac code and switch details when I ordered it but wasn’t given a date just a vague switching will happen after collection date, this is extremely frustrating as I can’t take calls I am expecting on my old number, it’s 2026 why does it take so long and why isn’t there any customer service for id mobile

I joined ID last Thursday too late (after 5.30) so gave my pac for the change to take place today Monday, which they did, early pm. Kept me informed all the way.

Said when I was doing it, that if it hasn’t happened, to get in touch with them.

I didn’t have to get in touch everything went really well.

    This should help you.

I’m having this issue with my son’s SIM. Asked for transfer date yesterday but today he can’t call out & I can’t call him. PAC code was given when SIM was ordered. Not sure why there’s an issue.

    Hi @MCS4B,

I am so sorry to hear of the issues that both you and your son are facing. It may be that the number transfer is still completing, however if you have received the text to say that it has completed, please be sure to have the iD Mobile SIM card in the device and then try the below based on the type of phone that you have:

    For Android:

    • Open Settings
    • Tap General Management
    • Tap Reset
    • Select Reset network settings

    For iPhone:

    • Go to Settings
    • Tap Phone
    • Tap My Number
    • Delete the old number
    • Enter the new number
    • Tap Save

Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap Messages
    3. Turn iMessage OFF
    4. Go to Settings > General
    5. Tap Reset
    6. Choose Reset Network Settings
    7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings
    8. Tap Messages
    9. Turn iMessage ON again

Your iPhone should now recognise the new SIM and verify your number.
