Switching to ID mobile pac code

I’ve used a PAC code to switch to ID, it’s getting done on Tuesday. I have my new phone already and the new eSIM from IDmobile. Can I activate the eSIM now and set up my new phone or should I wait for my number to switch in 3 days. What would happen if I activate the eSIM now?

Hi @Sebruiz,

Yes, you are able to install your eSIM now, however it will have the temporary iD Mobile number. Once your number transfers over, you can remove or delete the SIM linked to your old plan and then restart your device to have everything working properly.

Thank you.

could you just help me understand what you mean by remove or delete the old sim. Do you mean the eSIM one ID mobile have sent me? Or my current one as this is physical

I successfully switched from EE today. Did not need to remove or delete the Sim ID Mobile sent when I signed up. The temporary number changed to the number I transferred from EE. I was unable to receive calls until I got the text from ID Mobile confirming the switch was completed. Now I can receive calls.
