Terrible joining experience

Joined ID mobile from Lebara, used a PAC to port the number.

  • Old number was cut off around 8am yesterday
  • Received an email saying that the transfer would complete by 10pm and I’d receive an email
  • Received an email this morning (a day later) saying the transfer had completed
  • Have received no eSIM
  • Cannot load the Live Chat despite trying 5 different machines, every single browser that exists and every Incognito known to the human race
  • Cannot sign up for an account as it’s decided to stick me in a loop of login forever

Finally found a number to speak to a human (which must be used only for complaints, which I clearly have here). Called them 2 minutes too late as they are now shut for the day.

I need my eSIM. I’ve been without a working SIM for almost two days now. I need someone at ID Mobile to fix this.

Some routers, such as Asus and TP-Link, have built-in anti-malware software that sometimes blocks genuine sites. An example: my TP-Link Deco blocks the Mulvad VPN domain. The likes of Vodafone and Virgin Media have their own ISP-based controls that do a similar thing.

Live chat is working perfectly for me. They’re the only ones who can get you up and running this evening, but they close at 8pm. You could wait for iD Mobile to reply to your post here, but it might not happen until tomorrow. Even if they do reply, it takes days to converse via the private message system here.

Thanks WelshPaul, I’ve tried Live Chat in every conceivable way (genuinely)! I give up!

Well turns out I didn’t try it in every conceivable way - I was accessing over the home wifi which is provided by Virgin Media. Once I turned off my wifi, I was able to access Live Chat. So either my router is blocking it (unlikely as no other website is) or Virgin Media is (though if that was the case, it should be for other VM users!).
