Transferring number to ID mobile

I’ve just set up to transfer to ID mobile (from 28/09) and provided my PAC to bring old number with me, but have received messages today informing me I have a new number with ID?

Will this revert to my original number on 28th?

Hi @Marvellousmarty,

Yes, that’s correct.

The new number you’ve received is your temporary iD Mobile number. As you’ve already provided your PAC code, your old number should replace the temporary number once the transfer completes on 28 September.

Once the transfer has completed, we’d recommend restarting your phone to help it register the change.

When I activated the QR code it said to add number to Phone in Apps - Should I add the new “temporary” number? I just ensured my existing number was re-added?

Hi @Marvellousmarty,

For now, we’d recommend waiting until your number transfer has fully completed before changing the number within your phone settings.

Once the transfer is complete and your existing number has replaced the temporary iD Mobile number, you can update the number displayed in your phone settings to your transferred number.

There’s no need to add the temporary number if your number transfer is already in progress.
