Staying connected in London is essential. With iD Mobile, you can access high-speed 4G and 5G coverage on the London Underground, allowing you to catch up on emails, stream music, or check your journey planner while travelling.

How do I connect?

Connecting is automatic. You do not need to log in to a Wi-Fi portal. As long as your Mobile Data is enabled, your phone will connect to the 4G or 5G signal in available stations and tunnels, just like it does above ground.

This network allows you to:

  • Stream TV, films, and music.
  • Make video calls and send messages.
  • Check live journey updates.
  • Play online games.

What’s next for the rollout?

The goal is to bring high-speed mobile coverage to the entire London Underground network. Work will continue over the next few years to get all stations and tunnels online. Coverage is also planned for the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and the London Overground.
