Pay as you go SIM in Burglar Alarm

I have just purchased a pay as you go SIM to be fitted in a burglar alarm system.  How can I ascertain the amount of credit remaining on the SIM?

To check the remaining credit on a Pay As You Go SIM, you can usually do one of the following:

Insert the SIM into a mobile phone and dial *#100#, then follow the on-screen prompts
Log into your iD Mobile account online or via the app to view your balance
Call customer services from the SIM to hear your balance

Since your SIM is in an alarm system, the easiest option may be to temporarily place it into a phone to check the balance.
