Hello, I'd like to buy my wife a contract phone that I would pay for myself. Is that possible? Where can I add a new number to my account?

Hi @TheWardak

You can take out a contract for your wife and make payments on it. If you wish, you can also assign the number on the account. Please follow the steps below to do so.

ADD SECOND ACCOUNT

To add another account on the new app/website please follow the steps below:

1. Log into the account you are already registered for
2. On the 'Home' screen on the top right corner, click on 'view plans'
3. Add subscription
4. Insert the details linked to the second account.

Hi,

I hope you're doing well.

I'm trying to add a new plan / contract on my iD Mobile account, and I want to port in (transfer) a mobile number that currently belongs to another person on a different network. I will be the one paying for the new contract.

When I go through the process of adding the new account/plan, it asks for the phone number, surname (last name), and date of birth of the account holder. This is where I'm stuck, because the number is currently registered to someone else (different network, different name and details).

Could you please guide me on the correct way to do this?

Hi @TheWardak ,

I’m really sorry for the confusion.  I completely understand why this step is causing you to get stuck.

In this situation, what you’re trying to do is a number transfer (PAC port-in) from another network, but the details you enter must match the current account holder with the existing provider, not iD Mobile.

Here’s how it works:
• The number you want to bring over must have a PAC code from the current network
• The PAC request must be made by the current owner of that number (or someone who can access that account)
• When you submit the port, the surname and date of birth must match the current network’s records exactly

If the number is registered in someone else’s name and details:
• You won’t be able to complete the port using your details on iD Mobile
• The current account holder will need to request the PAC code and authorise the transfer

What you can do next:
• Ask the current owner of the number to request a PAC from their provider
• Once you have the PAC, you can then add the plan and complete the port-in using that code
