Can I download my usage history (call minutes and data used) for the whole time I've been with iD (several years)?

I am trying to work out my typical monthly usage of call minutes and data (my iD Mobile plan has unlimited texts/SMS). I know I can get this information from my bills - however I can only download bills from the last 12 months from the iD website and the last year hasn’t been typical (for various reasons, one of which is that I’ve been completely unable to make or receive voice calls on my mobile for the last few months - an issue I’m still trying to get iD to resolve).

Is there any way I can download historic usage (ideally right back to when I first started with iD Mobile), without having to go through all the GDPR rigmarole to request all my old bills? I don’t need to know the other information from the bills, just how many call minutes and how many MB of data I’ve used each month.

Help please!

Hi @8EST Cymru

Thank you for getting in touch.

I understand you’re looking to review your historic usage (call minutes and data) over a longer period than the last 12 months available on the iD Mobile website.

At present, the online account only allows access to the most recent 12 months of bills and usage data. Older detailed usage records are not available for direct download through the portal.

If you require usage information beyond this period, the only option available would be to submit a Subject Access Request (SAR) under GDPR, which allows us to provide your full historical account data. I appreciate you may not need the full bill information, however this is the only process we have in place to retrieve older usage records.

Please use the following SAR link to request:

Thanks for confirming that’s the only way to obtain older usage records. I have now done so.

Unfortunately for me, apparently iD Mobile routinely delete all but the last 24 invoices/bills, so I wasn’t able to gain much more insight on my past usage. However, for the two years I have now been able to obtain (out of the 6 or 7 years I have been with iD), it appears that my suspicions were correct and I never came close to exceeding my allowances.

Hi @8EST Cymru

Thank you for getting in touch with us and thank you for your response and for taking the time to review your past usage.

We understand your concerns, and we appreciate you checking the available records. As you’ve mentioned, we’re only able to provide access to the most recent 24 months of billing due to data retention policies.

It’s helpful that you’ve been able to review the last two years, and we understand your point regarding your usage not exceeding allowances during that time.

If there’s anything specific, you’d like us to review within the available data, please let us know and we’ll be happy to assist further.

Thank you,
