Can you uograde to a preorder phone (iphone 18 pro)

I am eligible for upgrade to current devices that are on sale. Will i be able to upgrade when the preorders for iphone 18 pro release, or will there be a wait, where you can only start a new contract rather than upgrade to it.

Hi @nealb,

Yes, if you're already eligible to upgrade, you should be able to place an upgrade order as soon as the iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders become available through iD Mobile.

There shouldn't be a period where the device is only available to new customers and not upgraders. If pre-orders are offered by iD Mobile, eligible upgrade customers can usually place their orders during the pre-order period as well.

For now, we'd recommend keeping an eye on our website and waiting for the pre-orders to open.
