Does SIM Only upgrades appearing in the app mean I'm OK to use them?

According to the app my contract doesn’t end until the 27th of this month.

Before I only had phone upgrades available but now Sim Only upgrades are showing too.

I’m slightly confused as I thought the Sim Only upgrades didn’t appear until after my contract ended.

Is it OK to take one of these Sim Only upgrades before my contract end date without there being any penalty?

    Kindly be advised that SIM-only plans become available during the last 24 days of your contract, which is why they are now visible.

    You are welcome to take a SIM-only plan, and this will not result in any penalty.
