early upgrade by paying off plan

If you are in a phone contract and say have 12 months left can you pay off the remaining 12 months and upgrade or do you have to wait until the whole 24 months is up

    Unfortunately, with iD Mobile you would not be able to simply pay off the remaining months of your contract early in order to upgrade before the minimum term ends.

     

    Upgrades become available once you reach your eligible upgrade date on the account, which is usually towards the end of the contract term or once the full minimum term has been completed.

     

    If you’re unsure when your upgrade becomes available, you can check this within the iD Mobile app or your online account. Here’s how:

    Check your iD Mobile upgrade eligibility in seconds by logging into your iD Mobile Account or the iD Mobile app. Go to the "Plan" or "Upgrade" section to view your upgrade status, or see when you can upgrade
