End of minimum length of contract - Is switch to SIM Only on a rolling month?

My 24 month contract has just passed it’s 24 month.

I’m not ready to upgrade or change my phone yet.

If I change my plan to one of the listed available plans, is this going to be on a monthly rolling contract?

I don’t want to be locked in to a long term contract until I’m ready to upgrade my phone!

Thanks

Hi @Nezza42 ,

As your 24-month contract has now ended, your account is no longer tied into a fixed-term agreement. If you choose to switch to one of the available SIM-only plans, this will be on a 30-day rolling (monthly) contract, not a long-term commitment.

That means:

-You won’t be locked into another 24-month contract

- You can change or cancel the plan with 30 days’ notice

-You can upgrade to a new phone whenever you’re ready

So you’re free to move onto a flexible plan now and upgrade later when it suits you.

@Nezza42  If you don't upgrade your current plan will continue and you be paying the same as you already are and it will increase in April  as it normally does.

So if you take out another plan you'll be paying for two contracts your original one and the new one. By upgrading you can take out a yearly or monthly sim only contract even a two year contract. So the best option if you not taking out a new phone upgrade and looking to reduce your bill is to upgrade to a sim only plan of your choice. I'd call sale's for the upgrade and ask them all bthe question you need before committing to the upgrade. And by upgrading you retain you current mobile number, where as if you jut take out a plan you'll have a new number plus paying for two contracts.

Thanks for the replies :)

I’ve now changed my plan & saved £14/month as a result!

Many thanks
