Erroneous upgrade offers.

Today was the second occasion I was offered upgrade options which when I pursued them, was told I was not entitled to nearer my contract maturity. 
 

Apparently the offer stands if I move to a handset deal (I have a sim-only deal). This should be clear from the outset. Disappointing.

Upgrade eligibility can vary depending on the type of plan you’re on. In some cases, certain upgrade offers may only be available when moving from a SIM-only plan to a handset plan, which is why the options shown can sometimes differ once checked against your account.

 

That said, I understand this wasn’t clear from the outset and appreciate why this would be frustrating.

Thank you for your response. it’s great to hear you’re planning to stay with iD Mobile long term.

 

Before looking at an upgrade, you may be able to simply change your current SIM-only plan to one that includes more data. This is often the easiest way to increase your allowance without needing to start a new deal.

I’m afraid I can’t have the plan I want until 30 days before plan end. That’s August.
