I currently have an iDMobile SIM only PAYGO account. I’d like to switch to a monthly SIM only account. Is there any simple way to do this?

+22It’s not possible to move from Pay as you Go (PAYG) to Pay Monthly or vice-versa. SIM cards can’t be converted from one type to the other. To move from PAYG to Pay Monthly, you’ll need to take out a new Pay Monthly plan with a new SIM. To move from Pay Monthly to PAYG, you’ll need to cancel your Pay Monthly plan and order a new PAYG SIM.
Presumably then I need to get the new (monthly) SIM and then ask for a PAC code for my existing SIM and transfer the number?

You can’t port internally. You would have to transfer to another network PAYG SIM and then once ported request another PAC code and transfer back to iD.

Pretty standard industry practice unfortunately.
