how to upgrade from pay monthly to sim only at the end of contract

I can't see 'sim.only' in the plan change options on my app. My pay monthly contract is about to expire on 11 Sep... but when I go to look at upgrade options in the app... it only shows more mobile phone deals. How do I upgrade to sim only???

    Hi @Gembev,

    Welcome to the Community!

If you are currently on a handset contract you can’t move to a SIM only until after the contract end date, the same also applies for plan changes.

I’m in the same boat, my 24month plan finished at the end of July and I wanted to switch to sim only, but I keep getting the message “Looks like we don’t have any plans available”. Interestingly I have options to upgrade to any handset, but not sim only.

    Hi @Wullie3011.

    Thank you for your post.

We’re sorry to hear that you were charged £45.68 after upgrading to your £6 SIM-only plan.

It’s possible that the plan change was made after your billing cycle had already closed. In this situation, the previous plan may still have been included in the latest bill, even though your new plan became active the following day.

Please contact us directly via live chat: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat so we can check your account and confirm when your billing cycle closes, as well as review the charge and the date your new plan became active.

    Thanks,

I am having the same issue. If this is such a common problem for customers maybe something to look into. I have spent ages trying to get a SIM only account. I do not want an upgrade at the moment.
