I'm done with ID mobile, ruined by strict internal policies.

What is going on with ID Mobile?

Being a customer with them for around 7 years now over different sim only plans and different contracts.

Just went to sign up to a sim only e-sim to be told I failed checks.

Does paying a bill on time and NEVER EVER missing a single payment count?

ID mobile is getting worse for customer service so goodbye ID mobile, you don’t want my money don’t have it then.  You are ruining your company from inside to out.

Spoke to customer service who basically told me tuff, bye.

I’ll take my custom else where.

    Hi @uniqueusername69

We're very sorry to hear about your experience, particularly after being a long-standing iD Mobile customer and having consistently kept up with your payments. We completely understand why being told that your new SIM-only application was unsuccessful would be frustrating and disappointing.

Unfortunately, an application can be unsuccessful for a number of reasons, and a history of making payments on time is only one of the factors considered during the application and eligibility checks. We're unable to confirm the specific reason for an unsuccessful application through this channel.

We'd really appreciate the opportunity to see whether there's anything we can do to help. We'd recommend contacting our Sales Team via Live Chat or by calling 0800 049 0250. They'll be best placed to review the order, check the options available to you and advise you further.

We're sorry that your recent experience has left you feeling this way, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the service you've received.

This like like saying, I’ve been paying rent on a house at £2000 per month for the last 20 years but a mortgage will only cost me £500 per month moving forward but was still declined.

What is going on in the UK? 🤣

    Shocking.

Thank you for your response, in this instance I have decided to move away from ID mobile as a long standing customer.  This really could have been prevented from the start.

I did contact live chat as was basically told the same thing what you said, which was no use to me, unfortunately and I won’t be doing it again to be told the same thing.

All I wanted to do was take a sim only plan.

    Hi @uniqueusername69.

Thank you for your honest feedback, and I’m truly sorry that your experience has led you to decide to leave ID Mobile, especially as a long‑standing customer who has always kept up with payments.

While I respect your decision, I do want to acknowledge your concerns and thank you for taking the time to share them. Your feedback about the lack of clarity and the feeling of being passed around is important, and I’ll make sure it’s highlighted internally so we can improve how these situations are handled.

If you ever reconsider in the future, we’d welcome the chance to do better for you. In the meantime, I wish you all the best with your new provider.

    Thanks,

    Marquerita
