When upgrading your iPhone, you can normally keep using the same iD Mobile service and number. However, in your case, you'll need to request a new eSIM once your new handset has arrived.

You can request this through the iD Mobile app:

1. Sign in to the iD Mobile app.
2. Select your mobile number.
3. Go to Account.
4. Select SIM & Device.
5. Choose Switch to eSIM.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the eSIM on your new iPhone.

Please make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi while completing the installation, and only submit the eSIM request once.
