📱 Typical upgrade rules (SIM only → handset after 6 months)
If you’ve been on a SIM-only plan for at least 6 months, you may be able to upgrade, but eligibility depends on:
- 💳 Payment history (your account must be up to date)
- 📊 Credit status (based on affordability checks)
- ⏳ Time on plan (usually minimum 6 months required for SIM-only upgrades)
- 📦 Current plan type (30-day, 12-month, or 24-month SIM can affect options)
⚠️ Important restrictions to be aware of
Even if you’ve reached 6 months, you may still see limits such as:
- You may only be offered certain handset deals (not the full range)
- You may need to pass a new credit check for the handset contract
