Hi, iv taken out a new sim only plan, will my number stay the same?

You can se a PAC code to move your number over to iD Mobile from another network provider, that process is fully supported and usually completes within one working day once submitted.

 

However, it’s worth noting that iD Mobile doesn’t support iD to iD number transfers. So if the number you’re looking to move is already with iD Mobile, it wouldn’t be possible to transfer it directly onto another iD plan using a PAC code.

 

If you are moving from a different network, you can simply request your PAC from your current provider and submit it through your iD account, and everything should go smoothly from there.

HI Gemma - I’m in the same situation - current iD plan + mobile moving to SIM only as I have purchased a handset elsewhere (as you don’t supply the brand I want)
I have had the same mobile number for 20 years and do not want to change it now

How do i retain my number or do i have to go to another network (in which case i will need to cancel the SIM only plan I have just made with you guys?

📌 Important clarification

If your current number is already with iD Mobile, you don’t need to leave iD Mobile just to keep it.

You only need a PAC code if you’re moving your number to another network.

 

📤 If you were moving your number to another network

You would need to request a PAC code:

  • 📱 Text PAC to 65075 (free)
  • 📲 Or request it via the iD Mobile app
    • Open the iD Mobile app
    • Log in to your account
    • Tap “Account”
    • Select “Leave iD / PAC Code”
    • Follow the on-screen steps to request your PAC

    Your PAC will be sent to you and is valid for 30 days.

You then give that PAC to the new provider to transfer your number.
