keeping a mobile phone number

My wife has 2 mobile phones on monthly contracts with IDMobile ,  I use 1 of her  phones . I want to get a phone registered to me but keep the number of the phone I use of hers . Can I get a new contract with IDMobile a new number the cancel the contract of the phone i was using and switch numbers using the  PAC from IDMobile ?

    Thank you for your message.

     

    Kindly note, you cannot transfer a number directly between two active iD Mobile accounts using a PAC code. Our systems do not allow internal transfers.

     

    However, you can easily do this by using a different network as a temporary bridge:

     

    1. Get your new plan: Set up your brand-new iD Mobile contract in your own name first.

    2. Move the number away: Text PAC to 65075 from the phone you use. Move that number to a free Pay As You Go SIM with a different network. This automatically cancels your wife's old contract.

    3. Bring it back: Get a new PAC code from that temporary network. Submit it online to your new iD Mobile account to bring your original number back.
