New customer deal vs upgrade

I see new customer deals as sold by Carphone warehouse etc are a bit cheaper than just carrying on with an ‘upgrade’. Should I just leave and buy one of those straight away or talk to their sales team? Also why can’t you set to upgrade in advance for the day your contract end rather than having to do that on the day??

Hey there ​@Lobo Chan, if you’re unhappy with your upgrade deals, please call our sales team on 02071391397 between 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. If you wish to keep your number, you’ll need to order an upgrade, or do a triangle port.
