new handset, how do i switch my plan

Hello,

My contract for my e-sim is available for an update. But at the same time I hand bought a new handset, do I just cancel/ leave ID on my existing plans and then take out a new plan on the new handset?

And how do I keep the same number?

If you take out a new plan from our website or from a third party website, it's not classed as an upgrade. It's simply treated as a new plan, even if you're eligible for an upgrade. You'll also be unable to keep your existing iD mobile number in this way as we are unable to transfer plans and mobile numbers across internally . That's why we always recommend you upgrade via the eligibility checker and this will ensure that you keep the same mobile number.
