Hi I have just purchased a new iD mobile and contract from Carphone Warehouse, rather than upgrading via iD directly (as the deals were better). Do I need to cancel my first contract (which is now on a pay monthly basis after 24 months)? And how can I transfer my mobile number to the new phone? I can’t use a PAC code as I am not switching networks. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I don’t want to be paying for 2 contracts.

Thanks for getting in touch.
To disconnect in the iD Mobile app or My Account Online, you can:
- Open the iD Mobile app or log-in to My Account Online.
- Tap ‘Plan’.
- Tap ‘Leave iD’.
- Tap ‘Cancel my iD plan’.
Unfortunately, we are not able to port a number from one iD Mobile plan to another. If you wish to keep the number, you would need to complete a triangle port which involved requesting a PAC and porting the number to a new provider. Once ported, you would then request a PAC from them to port the number back to iD Mobile.
