Question

Setting up new plan with ID from a previous plan with ID

Hi, instead of upgrading my plan with ID I wanted to cancel my old one and get a new one, also with ID (because the plans for new customers were better than the upgrades available for existing customers). I have set up my new eSIM and my phone recognises it. However when I go to apply my PAC code to switch my existing phone number over to the new plan, it doesn’t work. Presumably this is because I am not switching networks, I am just moving from one ID plan to another. Please can you advise what to do. Thanks

    Hi @Helenakt101.

    Thank you for sharing this.

Kindly note that a PAC code is designed for switching your number between different networks, not for moving between two accounts on the same network. Unfortunately, iD Mobile doesn't support transferring a number internally from one iD Mobile account to another using a PAC code, which is why it's being rejected.

To retain your existing mobile number, I would suggest transferring your mobile number to another provider and then back onto the new account that you have taken out.

    Thanks,
