sim options / phone swap / new or same number

Hello 

hope all is well, 

 

2 questions: potentially buying a new phone today - is it the simple case of just swapping sim and inputting into new phone? 
 

what if I wanted a fresh start new number / but same contact how does that work?

    Hope you're well too!

     

    If you're buying a new phone and want to keep everything exactly as it is, then yes, it's usually as simple as moving your SIM card from your current phone into the new one. Once you've inserted the SIM, your number, plan, and account will remain the same.

     

    If you'd like a completely new number, there are a couple of options:

    • You can request a number change on your existing account. There is a £25 charge for this.
    • Depending on the plans available, it may actually work out cheaper to take out a new plan with a new number and then cancel your old plan, although you'll want to compare the costs before doing so.
