switched my som to sim only but was done wrong

Hello, 

I purchased a new sim only plan yesterday with ID Mobile, and I wanted to keep my number, I am already with ID mobile and I was with them for 2 years, I’ve set up a new eSIM for on my phone today but ID have sent me a new number and when I tried changing it back to my previous in the app it says there’s an issue and that my details don’t match can you please help, I just wanted to switch to a sim only contract and to keep my number

We’re sorry to hear about the confusion with the new SIM Only plan and keeping your existing number.

 

As the new plan was taken out as a separate new connection rather than an upgrade, the system has automatically assigned a new number to the account. Unfortunately, because of this, you would now need to contact our Live Chat Team to arrange for the new SIM/account to be returned.

 

Please also note that customers are eligible to upgrade directly to a SIM Only plan from 24 days before their current contract end date. Upgrading this way would have allowed you to keep your existing number automatically without needing a new connection.
