Transferring a Contract to Another Person

Hi, my wife and my Son both have pay monthly phones through ID Mobile and both are in my name. I pay the bills! My Son is now of an age where he needs to take the contract on himself. His phone is out of the 24 month period and is due an upgrade. Is there a way to process the upgrade and transfer the contract to him, so it no longer sits in my name?

Thanks for getting in touch.

Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to transfer ownership of an existing iD Mobile contract from your name into your son’s name, even if the minimum contract period has ended and the plan is eligible for an upgrade.

If your son would now like the contract to be in his own name, he would need to take out a new plan in his own name and complete the relevant credit and security checks.
