Upgrade and change mobile number

I'm due an upgrade on my contract but want to change mobile number due to nuisance calls.

How can I change my mobile number

And is it better to do this before or after I upgrade?

If you're looking to change your mobile number, it may actually work out better to take out a new plan rather than processing an upgrade.

 

This is because a new connection will come with a new mobile number automatically, whereas changing the number on an existing account would need to be processed separately after the upgrade.
