upgrade cost as existing customer vs new customer

I currently have a sim only contract & want a pay monthly on the iphone 16e, why is my deal more expensive as an existing cudtomer than a new customer?

New customer deals and existing customer deals are constantly changing, so the offers available can vary depending on when you choose to upgrade or change your plan.
At times, existing customer deals may be better than those available to new customers, and vice versa.
If you do not see a deal that suits your needs, we recommend contacting our Sales Team on 0800 049 0250 between 9:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. They will be happy to discuss the available options and help you find the best deal.
