upgrade from phone contract to sim only contract

When upgrading from a phone contract to sim only contract do you keep your existing number and sim Card or does iDmobile  send out a new sim?

And if iDmobile sends out new a sim will it have the same existing number already on it to just put in phone and start straight away?

Yes, you do keep the same number with the same SIM card. 

 

If you need assistance with your upgrade, please get in touch with our sales team, either via live chat or call them on 0800 049 0250, or you can follow the below steps:

 

1. From dashboard, scroll down and tap on "view all upgrade deals".  
2. On the next page, select the box "SIM only deals".  
3. Scroll down and tap on "choose this plan" next to the plan you wish to proceed with.  
4. On the next page, tap on "continue" and follow the steps to complete the order. A card verification will be required. After completing this step, tap on "place order".  
5. You will receive an order reference number at the end.

Hello.

I'm currently having an issue with this topic. I am within my upgrade window but the upgrade options are only showing phone upgrades, and no SIM only options.  Can you please advise.

Thank you for getting in touch with us, please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused to you in relation to the upgrade issues.
The sim only upgrade options are only available if the plan is in the last 24 days before it expires.

Hello. I am now within the 24 day window but the only options I have are 12 month or 24 fixed SIM only plans (in addition to the phone plans). I want to switch to a rolling monthly SIM only as I may decide to get another phone later in the year. Do I have to wait for my current fix to end completely before going into a rolling SIM only?

Kindly note that the period is 21 days before your plan expires to be able to move to a SIM only plan, however you are more than welcome to contact our sales team via live chat (https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat), they will be happy to help you see what options are available and assist you with processing your upgrade.
