I would like to know when I can upgrade

You can upgrade your iD Mobile plan up to 60 days before your current contract ends. For Pay Monthly phone plans, this early upgrade window allows you to get a new phone before the contract technically finishes. SIM-only customers can typically upgrade to a new plan after at least 6 months. 
Key Details on Upgrading iD Mobile:
  • When to Upgrade: Check your exact eligibility date by logging into the iD Mobile app or My Account online and visiting the "Plan" section.
  • Early Upgrades: If you are within 60 days of your contract end date, you can upgrade, though some sources note that in certain situations this may vary slightly.
  • SIM Only to Phone: If you are on a SIM-only plan, you can switch to a Pay Monthly phone contract after at least 6 months.
  • Process: When you are eligible, you will see an "Upgrade now" button in the iD Mobile app or website. 
If you are not yet eligible but want to change your data plan, you may be able to make a "Plan Change" instead, provided you have not changed plans in the last 31 days and have been with iD for over 30 days.

You can easily check when you’re eligible to upgrade through your account. Here’s how:

  • Log in to the iD Mobile app or your account on the website
  • Head to “My Account”
  • Look for the “Upgrade” or “My Plan” section
  • This will show your upgrade eligibility date and any available offers

 

If you’re unable to find the information, or something doesn’t look right, you can also get in touch with our Customer Services team via Live Chat, they’ll be happy to check this for you and talk you through your options.
