upgrade offer available but not?

I'm a little confused... 

It is time for to upgrade and in the id mobile app I'm shown a SIM free option, 24 month contract, United calls and texts and 63gb of data per month. £4.50 for the first 6 months and then £9 per month after that. Sounds great! So I click "upgrade now" thinking that would be great. 

I get taken to the site, ready to upgrade. But, this offer isn't there! I speak to live chat (that's a separate niggle but I digress) who eventually tell me that the offer is no longer available. But it was, and still is, on the app for me. 

How can this be? And how do I get the offer? I'd love to upgrade and commit to the 24 month contract as I've had no problems while I've been here but instead I was offered a SIM only deal in not interested in and it's nearly double the cost. 

How can something be there and not there?

Annoyingly the offer is still showing in the app..... Just not available when clicking on the link.

..... 5 days later. The offer still showing in app but not available. That is impressive! And surely must be some kind of trading standards issue? 🤔

Thank you for letting us know about this, I completely understand how frustrating it must be to see an offer still showing in the app but not available. 

Here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Refresh your app or clear cache:

-Go to your phone settings and clear the cache for the iD Mobile app, then log back in.

  1. Check your eligibility:

-Log in to My Account and navigate to My Plan > Upgrade Options to confirm if the offer is still active for your account.

  1. Update the app:

Ensure you’re using the latest version of the iD Mobile app, as older versions may display outdated offers.

Hey - I ma still getting the same offer. On app and on website so its not a cache or update issue. But when I click it i do not get the 6 months offer either. Its been like this for a while. See below. This is right now on the website.

@Sicmay it's still showing for me too. 

I eventually had to call the number 08000490250 and got the offer. Live chat couldn't honour it. 

It's annoying really that the offer shows up, there are clickable options but I have to sit on hold and speak to somebody to get it.
