Upgrade unavailable on this plan

I want to upgrade my plan to get a new iPhone (currently sim only) but it says upgrades are unavailable. Do I need to cancel my existing plan and start a new contract? And if so how do I do this. Thanks

@louise12262  Calling the sales line would of been a better option. If you're eligible for an upgrade with phone and there's a plan and phone that's suitable for you, you'll retain your current number.

If your not eligible for an upgrade but your eligible for a brand new contract with phone you won't be able to keep your number and transfer it to the new plan. ID mobile doesn't allow porting of IDMobile to IDMobile number's. One would have to port out the number you want to keep onto a PAYGO sim on a different network once that done you can then port it from the new network to your new IDMobile contract and number.

I have two SIM-only plans with iD Mobile, and recently one of those plans started showing the following message when clicking on upgrade: “Your plan type can’t be upgraded”. Oddly enough, my other plan allows upgrades.

Mine is the same, I have 2 plans under 1 account. I spoke to someone on the sales number who said it is eligible for an upgrade even though it says it isn’t on the app.
