How come when I go to upgrade the cost is more expensive on the ID Monile site than buying a ‘new’ contract of the likes of car phone warehouse who deal with ID Mobile upgrades too ??, I can get the iPhone 17 max pro off CPW FOR £79 down & £44 per month but ID Mobile want £99 upfront & £59 a month for the same handset & 24 month plan ….

I can understand why you're questioning the difference, especially when the same handset appears cheaper through Carphone Warehouse.

Deals available to new customers can differ from the upgrade offers available on an existing account. New customer plans are generally based on our base deals, as those customers don't yet have any account history with us, whereas upgrade offers can differ based on the existing account and history with iD Mobile.

It's also worth checking that any Carphone Warehouse deal is being processed as an upgrade rather than a new iD Mobile contract. If it's processed as a new contract, you'll receive a new number, and iD Mobile doesn't support internal number transfers between iD Mobile plans.
