Question

Upgrading after End of contract

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked before.

My wife's 2 year ID contract has come to an end and has now been billed the same amount.

She would like to take up a 30 day rolling contract instead but the one she wants isn't on the upgrade list. It's on ID mobile's website (presumably for new customers). She has had an online chat with one of their sales representatives who said she can only upgrade to the ones on the list.

What is the best way to start a 30 day contract which is on their website?

Should we end the current contract, get a PAC code and then buy the one she wants from the website?

Any help will be much appreciated, TIA.

Sean

Hi @sld2012

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Once a 2-year contract has ended and rolled over, you are correct that it will continue on the same terms unless a change is made.

If your wife would like to move to a 30-day SIM-only plan that is not showing on the upgrade options, the best approach would be:

She can request a PAC code and move to another provider, then rejoin iD Mobile on the 30-day SIM-only deal via a new order, or
She can stay with iD Mobile and choose from the available upgrade options currently shown in the account upgrade section

Please note that taking a new SIM-only deal via the website is usually treated as a new connection, not an internal upgrade, which is why the plan may not appear in the upgrade list.

If you’d like, we can also check whether any similar 30-day plans can be offered through your existing account. Please contact our sales team on 08000490250.

Thank you,
