What is the cooling off time period for a new contract?

I have taken out a new contract with ID Mobile through Carphone Warehouse and I have been attempting to PAC my existing ID phone number across only to realise I cannot do this.
I want to keep my existing number. So I want to know if I can cancel my contract- and look to do an upgrade instead. Am I still in the time frame -I got my welcome text on 30.04.26 we are now on 24.05.26 but this weekend is the bank holiday weekend.

this is the only way I can think of to keep my number or is there an alternative way of staying on this contract with my old number?
