How early are you looking to upgrade? With iD Mobile, you can typically upgrade your phone contract up to 60 days before the end of your minimum contract term. For example, if you have a 24-month contract, you can upgrade 60 days before the end of those 24 months.

My 24 month contract is due to end in September so I am eligible for an early upgrade now. I just wasn’t sure what happens with my old phone, do I need to pay a fee to pay the rest of it off?

My phone is ready to upgrade, please can I ask do I get to keep my old phone, and with the new handset, would it have a new number, or the same one?

I understand the billing of the old contract will be paid, off and then the new contract will start, but just want to make sure I get this absolutely correct,

Hi ​@FWillow  no worries, it’s best to be 100% clear.

If you upgrade and get a new handset, you can keep the old one as a spare, or perhaps sell it? You could even upgrade a to a SIM only plan and continue using your current handset; this would work out a cheaper option if you’re not after a new handset.

When you upgrade your number will remain the same, only your plan and tariff will change. You can view your upgrade options online, on the app or by calling our iD Sales Team on 0207 1391 397.
