When My contract ends why are you trying to charge me excess

When My contract ended why are you trying to charge me excess fees.  My contract including my phone, came to an end it was stated that I would remain on the same “price” despite me having paid off my Phone as there was no equivalent type of service on Sim only.  That was not the case and there was an equivalent service at a reduced rate of £16pm.  That is Lie 1

It would appear now that ID are trying to charge me for a crossover of the account.  Please resolve

Don’t even get me started on the attempted Upgrade that ended in a new separate contract

Hi @Beaver64,

We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with your experience.

iD Mobile doesn't automatically change your plan when your minimum term ends. Before your contract reaches the end of its minimum term, we send a reminder letting you know it's coming to an end. At that point, it's your responsibility to contact us if you'd like to upgrade, change your plan or cancel your agreement.

This is also covered in our Terms & Conditions:

  • Clause 3.1: "This Agreement will continue for the Minimum Period and will continue to apply after that unless and until either you or we terminate it in accordance with Clause 8 below or otherwise in accordance with a right expressly set out in this Agreement."
  • Clause 8.12: "At the end of your Minimum Period, this Agreement will continue on these existing terms until you tell us that you'd like to terminate your Agreement."

This means that your agreement doesn't automatically end when the initial minimum term finishes. Instead, it continues on the same agreed terms on a rolling monthly basis until you choose to upgrade or give notice to cancel.

If your recent order was processed as a new plan instead of an upgrade, our Customer Service team will also be able to investigate whether that new plan can be cancelled (subject to the returns policy) and discuss the correct upgrade options with you.

Please contact our Customer Service team via Live Chat here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

They'll be able to review your account, assist with the new plan and discuss your options for your existing plan.

Regards,

I beleive that your terms and conditions need to be updated to stay in line with British law with respect of a contract that includes the purchase of a phone and the information I was given was untrue and misleading.  The only good thing was that I was able to cancel the new contract..

I never intended to terminate my contract but ID made it very difficult to get to the next place.

Instead of social media start employing customer support.

It should be a simple thing to upgrade or change however id appear to have no interest other than cash.  It is no longer viable to upgrade as all the prices have gone up.

The next time some on replies read what happened first.

And you still owe me £70 from when I brought my wife on board. Another broken promise
