will my phone number change with an upgrade

Hi, I’ve recently been looking for an upgrade for my phone. I was looking around on other websites with different networks, but I have found one through Carphone Warehouse. While on this website, there was a tab asking if I’d be eligible for an upgrade. Through this, it gave me options for an ID upgrade. 

While looking through the ID website for phone numbers, I have seen that I cannot keep my phone number if I move from ID. But because it’s an upgrade with the same provider, will I be able to keep my existing phone number?

    If you take out a new plan or "upgrade" through a third-party retailer such as Carphone Warehouse, it will usually be processed as a new iD Mobile plan, rather than an upgrade on your existing account. This means you'll receive a new phone number.

     

    Unfortunately, iD Mobile doesn't support internal number transfers, so you wouldn't be able to move your existing iD Mobile number onto the new plan.

     

    If you'd like to keep your current number, we'd recommend contacting our Sales team via Live Chat. They'll be able to discuss the upgrade options available on your existing account and help you find the best deal while keeping your current number.
