Last 2 years I’ve holidayed in Europe for 90 days both times and my ID sim has worked throughout, I’ve read about 65 day restriction over 4 month period, I read another user in community asking whether you can switch off phone for a number of days to prolong the 65 day rule, answer by community member was no this won’t work, if this is case I don’t understand why, example I go away for 45 days I go back to uk for a week then go back abroad, I assume in that scenario I then have another 20 days of use remaining and would still be able to use my sim that would bring me to 72 days after my first day abroad, now similar scenario but after 45 days I switch my phone off for 7 days don’t go back to uk but switch it back on 7 days later, what is the difference, does the sim need to pick up a uk signal between or something? That’s the only thing I can think that would be different in the two scenarios?
Question
