Question

Add to cap for calls while visiting USA

I live in UK and am travelling in UK.I purchased an add-on roaming pack from ID but unlike Three's own the ID pack does not cover calls, only data.

On arrival Ive had problems with hire cars, and as a result Ive spent up to the full £75 cap, mostly on hold to US roadside assistance (neither my nor IDs fault they are useless, just a fact of life)

I am now unable to make or receive any calls and texts for the rest of my trip, which is completely unacceptable and unsafe.

How can I either increase the roaming cap beyond the max £75  allowed by ID, or make an additional payment, to get calls reinstated?

Hi @ac0024,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this while you're away.

The bill cap is used for both chargeable calls and data, so it's likely you've reached the £75 limit because of the calls you've had to make.

If you'd like to increase your bill cap, you'll first need to make an immediate payment to your account. Once that's been done, we can look at increasing the bill cap further. Please bear in mind that this can become quite expensive, which is why we'd usually recommend using a local SIM or eSIM when travelling outside of your inclusive roaming destinations.

If you'd like to go ahead with increasing your bill cap, just let us know and we'll point you in the right direction.

Regards,

Please let me know how to increase my bill cap. I am fully aware of the options.  After one emergency I really do not want to be left without a working phone for the rest of my trip.

Please also let me know how to make an additional payment to pay my bill early. It is currently on monthly direct debit, and I could find no information about this on the ID website
